IPRS is a self-regulating accreditation body that sets international benchmark standards for Public Relations professionals in Singapore. Launched in 2000, the IPRS Accreditation Scheme is a distinctive recognition for PR professionals.

Accreditation is opened to those who have demonstrated strategic thinking, broad knowledge and experience in the field, and exhibited high standards of professionalism, commitment to the profession and code of ethics.

IPRS Full Member is opened to practitioners with proven years of experience in the PR and Communications industry.
Requirements:
Individuals who are resident and practising in Singapore and who at the date of application are at least 24 years old with a minimum of three years practical and comprehensive experience and who have passed a professional examination in public relations from a recognised Institute of Public Relations, or an Institute of higher learning.
Full Members are entitled to exercise full voting rights in the affairs of the Institute and are entitled to use the letters 'MIPRS'.
Newcomers to the PR and Communications industry are welcomed to join as Associate Members.
Requirements:
Individuals who are resident and practising in Singapore and who at the date of application are at least 21 years old, and have at least one year practical and comprehensive experience.
Associates are entitled to use the description 'Associate of the Institute of Public Relations' (but NOT to use the letters AIPRS) and to exercise full voting rights in the affairs of the Institute, but not eligible for office of either the President or Vice-President of the Council.
If you have an interest in Public Relations and want to be a part of the Community, you are welcome to join the IPRS.
Requirements:
Individuals residing or working in Singapore, who are not eligible for the categories mentioned above, but are otherwise associated with or interested in the practice of public relations, or who at the time of application are taking or propose to take a course of education/training organised or recognized by the Institute, may apply to be Affiliate Members.
An Affiliate Member shall not be entitled to use any letters or description after their name. They is entitled to participate at any of the Institute's general meetings but cannot exercise any voting rights in the affairs of the Institute.
The IPRS believes in nurturing the next generation of communicators. If you are passionate about PR and looking seriously into a career in this sector, you are welcome to join as Student Member.
Requirements:
Singaporeans studying overseas and individuals residing in Singapore who are associated with or interested in the practice of public relations, and who at the time of application are taking full time tertiary education/training recognized by the Institute may apply to be Student Members for the duration of their studies. Applicants must provide proof of their current ongoing education status in their application.
IPRS has formed Student Chapters with nine institutions and all students studying in the PR/Communication-related courses enjoys IPRS membership benefits. Interested parties may write to admin@iprs.org.sg for more details.
