Introduction To Public Relations And Mass Communications


Date: Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th February 2023 (3 days)

Duration: 9:00am to 5:00pm daily

Delivery: In-person (only)


Course Objectives

To provide insights into PR and Communication to equip participants with a sound understanding of the principles of PR, basic techniques and current industry landscape.


Course Structure

A compact three day course that provides a foundational training of what PR and Communication is all about including insights into its key aspects: Communications 101; Media Relations; Crisis Communication; Digital Communication, Integrated Marketing; and the PR Plan.

Day 1 – Introduction to Public Relations and Media Relations

Day 2 – Crisis Communication and Digital Communication

Day 3 – Integrated Marketing Communication and Public Relations Campaign

Who should attend?

Anyone who is interested in the PR and Communication profession, new entrants, and who are in a communication role and would like to have a quick overview of the current state of PR.


Certification

Participants will receive an IPRS Certificate of Attendance at the end of the course.
